Prostate Cancer Foundation

Save the man in your life.

A project of Many vs Cancer, the global movement to defeat prostate cancer. More than 14 million men worldwide are living with prostate cancer, and every year more than 34,000 lose their fight. But together, we have the power to save them all.

I have a history of prostate cancer in my family, so it was an incredible honor to partner with this scientific organization to raise awareness and fundraise for critical research. I partnered with my alma matter Funny Or Die to create a campaign that reached 650,000+ people!

Scientific and radical

Working within the pre-existing campaign of Many Vs Cancer, we built a design system that was rugged while still being connected to science with an explorer aesthetic. The scientific/field illustrations brought in the humor needed to grab attention.

Men were “tagged” as scientific archetypes like the backyard BBQer being Grillius ignitus, or the goofy dad being Dadjoke embarrassus. With these cards being made you can @ the men in your life to get their attention, or make your own with our web tool.

Build your own meme

We built a tool for you to get in on the joke and build a custom “tag” for man with their photo and scientific name. My favorite I saw was Hipsterus maximus.

Tagged males young and old

When a coworker had a kiddo during the run of the campaign it was clear we needed to tag that baby!

The FINAL FACT

Over 14 million men are living with prostate cancer— in the U.S., one in eight will be diagnosed.
