Pickup Truck Emoji

In 1917, Ford invented the pickup truck and in 2020, Ford brought the pickup truck to your phone. 🛻

It all started because the team tried to slack a truck emoji and was shocked it was missing. While already partnering with Ford on a separate community outreach projects, I brought in the pitch. Ford had to do this— they invented the truck! And not to mention having 40+ years ranked as the best selling pickup. Ford is trucks is America. It would allow the company speak to the next generation of vehicle owners and after all, emoji are forever.

The emoji gets the full vehicle launch treatment: all the classic moments Ford would traditionally use in a vehicle release, covering each step in the build process and making it Ford Tough. (Launched on World Emoji Day)
