Health care for communities in need, against all odds.

For more than 30 years, PIH has been committed to ensuring that every mother can give birth safely, every child can have a healthy start, and every person with a treatable disease can access care. Because every single person deserves health care.

This following system was created for PIH’s community outreach and end-of-year fundraising campaign. This is a massively important time, some nonprofits raise as much as 50% of their budget in December alone.

A visual system that highlights everyone.

The design system for Every. Single. Person. is built to support the underlying theme of real people helping real people. The system works to focus the viewer’s eye on the subject of the photograph, and uses hand-drawn type and graphic elements to weave a “human” characteristic into each execution. The resulting collateral is dramatic, personal, authentic, and uniquely Partners In Health.

The messy (but legible) handwriting gives a human touch and is like a doctors note, a nod to their famous founder Paul Farmer.

 
 
 
 

Campaign manifesto

We are committed to doing whatever it takes to provide quality health care to those who need it most. Period.

Whether he comes from Haiti or from Rwanda. Whether she’s diagnosed with cancer or affected by a mental health disorder. Whether they’re a newborn or have lived a long life. We see patients for what they are: a person. We won’t stop until every single person from the poorest communities is healthy.

Against all odds, we’ve made it possible. From starting with a rural clinic in Haiti 30 years ago to spreading across the nation’s poorest regions today. And we’re not stopping there. We’ve taken our approach around the world — from Mexico to Rwanda, Peru to the Navajo Nation — joining forces with local governments to build sustainable health care systems. To make house calls. To train future doctors. To ensure every single person is seen.

It’s not easy, but it’s work worth doing.

 
 
 

Messaging system: Every. Single. Person.

The modular structure is flexible to cover every country, race, people, gender. We’re not defining a person by a single identity—we elevate all identities to one standard: a human who is worthy of care. The full stop punch station creates urgency for the fundraising drive.

The FINAL FACT

HIV affects 37 million people— 70% of whom live in Sub-Saharan Africa. Partners In Health is committed to building a world where every one has access to lifesaving antiretroviral therapy and can feel secure in knowing their child will be HIV-negative. They are quite simply, the best.
